The preliminary numbers are in. Tennessee State Highway Patrol Lt. Ronnie Shirley accessed background information for at least 182 people. Col. Mike Walker speculated the trooper may have been driven by “nosiness.”
Seriously? After a preliminary investigation, “nosy” is the best “motive” they could invent?

Houston Chronicle reports that Texas teen, Alejandro Gauna, was convicted Wednesday of first-degree murder for shooting 24-year old Tennessee State Trooper Calvin Jenks in January 2007 during a traffic stop.
The sentencing hearing resumed Thursday.

According to the Times-News, since April 1, the Tennessee Highway Patrol has received one warning and two actual speeding citations thanks to Mount Carmel’s new photo speed enforcement system.
The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office has received four speeding warnings from Mount Carmel.
