The Herald-Courier reports that 12-year-old Adam Gottschalk violated his school dress code by wearing a purple “Relay For Life” shirt promoting cancer research.

According to Bob Moore at the Tribune, a Hancock County grand jury has declined to indict Hancock County High School and Middle School principal Thomas Zachary.
Zachary faced charges arising from an incident last November.

Hawkins County Schools will be closed today, Wednesday, February 27, 2008 because there is a slight sprinkling of snow on the ground.
