WKSR in Pulaski reports Tennessee National Guard’s 1st Battalion of the 181st Field Artillery are expected to land on U.S. soil this week. The group has served nearly a year in Iraq. The 1/181st is headquartered in Chattanooga and mobilized on June 4, 2007. Click here for report.

First it was 2010: now Tricities.com reports the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment will deploy to Iraq in spring of 2009.
The 278th was put on alert earlier this week.

The Times-News reports the Tennessee National Guard has put soldiers of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment on alert.
