Her primary school held a mock election. She cast her vote for Obama – because, she says: “He’s brown and I’m brown.”
She was less than pleased when McCain won.

The Good News:
Jeff Bobo at the Times-News reports – since Jan. 1 there have been 3,079 new voters registered in Hawkins county. This places the overall number of voters at 34,898. That’s the highest number of voters ever in Hawkins County.
Five of those voters appeared to be Democrats.
The Bad News:
Only 10,480 voters turned out [...]

Governor Phil Bredesen has signed off on HB4215, sponsored by Harrison/Williams which amends the Givens/Wiliams private act passed in 2002, providing for number, election, and terms of members of the board of education of the Town of Rogersville.
