Discussing a Debacle

For several weeks (those being all the weeks since the November election) I’ve been watching these Northeast Tennessee Republicans strutting around, prematurely crowing and using bad eggs for chicken counting.  One could almost predict their lack of humility and faith in foregone conclusions would come back to bite them.
It did.

Readers Weigh-In

In the Times-News letters to the editor:
Marie Hammonds offers up an opinion on why Republicans insist on having an early voting deputy in Sullivan County.

Sullivan County Democratic Party Chairman Larry Hall also addressed the issue at Democratic Women’s luncheon last Saturday. “As near as I can tell,” he said, “there’s nothing we can do about [...]

Kurita Confusion

I’m a bit baffled by this Kurita controversy. I understand that Barnes is in, Kurita is out. The candidates participated in a [...]

This is why normally I would [...]

Last week I’d planned to hear Rob Russell speak at the Democrflmtrp (*don’t make me say it) Women’s Meeting, so I could come back and tell ya’ll what he said. (I never made it to the meeting: Mr. Smartypants’ Little League game went into extra innings. )

Michael Silence on the race for the 1st Congressional District seat:
Four seasoned political observers who blog, Randy Neal, Joe Powell, Joe Lance and A.C. Kleinheider, kick around whether a Democrat can take that seat. I’ll offer my snap analysis: When pigs fly.
(Head over to No Silence Here for the links.)
Of course, I’m no seasoned political [...]
