In writing this, perhaps I assumed to some degree that everyone would be as familiar with Faulk's <i> reputation</i> as the locals and would see the flaws in whatever version the GOP is trying to float. I do like Kelli and I hate to see her in this situation. And I agree she probably did not intend to go quite so public - but the email has in fact gone public and is an issue. As such, I will not ignore it. Although I am not conservative enough to be morally offended by the relationship, I do feel how Mike Faulk responds as a public official and/or whatever fallout there is for his campaign are relevant topics. So, I'll call it like I see it. And as I see it Faulk's willingness to throw this young woman and her family under the bus - and consider them nothing more than collateral damage in a political war - speaks volumes as to his integrity and his priorities.
