Kleinheider reminds us that Mike Williams hires Democrats, takes money from Democrats, and attends fundraising parties hosted by Democrats – while Silence wonders how this might play in a district so Republican, we put Democrats on display as “rare breeds” at the county fairs.
Well, the information doesn’t shock me. (Well, ya’ll didn’t think the Republicans were going give him money, did you? And have their names appear on his finance reports? What are you — Crazy? )
Still, I don’t think it will make that much difference in Hawkins County. Around here, an Independent is considered the same thing as a Democrat anyway – in that they’re Non-Republican. Those who will be swayed by party affiliation already support Faulk. Others… well, it seems voting Non-Republican in state and county elections is a whole lot like drinking habits of The Bapitsts.
They do it. They just won’t admit it.
Now, the question remaining is:did Williams dress-up like Dale, Elvis or the Easter Bunny for the big event?

So what you’re really saying is Senator Mike Williams was just endorsed by Governor Phil Bredesen who carried how many counties in East Tennessee?
I don’t know the number off the top of my head.
But I do have a specific recollection of Governor Phil Bredesen carrying all 95 counties in the state, including every county in East Tennessee which means he carried all six counties in Senate District 4 which Senator Mike Williams represents.
Angelia, whenever i see this pic of our very attractive senator, i tell myself it illustrates two things: his personal confidence and his smarts on how very, very much money NASCAR brings into our state.
