Then, before time expired, UT’s Daniel Lincoln kicked a 47-yard field goal, tying up the game and pushing us into overtime.
During overtime, Kai Forbath kicked a 42-yard field goal for the Bruins… and Lincoln missed a 34-yard field goal, ending the game with a 27-24 win for the Bruins.
Eh. What the kicker giveth…
The hubby, who refused to cut the kid some slack even though he was under serious pressure, is still on the couch with his head in his heads, muttering over and over: “But they aren’t even ranked!”
Meanwhile I’m thinking (1) it would suck to be Lincoln this week, but hey, maybe this will draw attention away from the fact that our quarterback is green and therefore not so great and (2) it’s going to be a very long season.
