Apparently, “softly-scripted” reality television means absolutely fake.
I finally got around to watching the series premier of Outsiders Inn. Though I’ve never been one to rubberneck at accident scenes or gawk at disasters, after the mayor and the moonshine incident made the National Enquirer, I knew I’d have to see the show – at least once.
So, I recorded it.
My thoughts on the series are – If the exposure weren’t going to be so good for Cocke County (trust me, it will because people will come to catch a glimpse of the elusive backwoods, redneck trailer-dwelling species much like they would wild animals at the zoo – then, they’ll wander around calling the locals “quaint” and “folksy” – but who gives a crap as long as they buy the t-shirt.) I’d feel better if they’d moved the whole damn thing to Kentucky.
