Senator Mike Williams is a great candidate who doesn't care a whit about kissing up to big-headed power-grabbers.
As long as Independent Senator Mike Williams is allowed to serve the people of his district and vote the way the people in his district want him to, Senator Mike Williams will do so and he will remain independent from the control of or perceived control of any King or related interests and of those who want a state income tax.
Although Mike Williams had other opportunities that would have been in his own best financial interest personally, he chose instead to offer himself up to the wisdom of the people of the 4th Senate District as an Independent candidate.
Before he made that decision, I urged him NOT to feel pressured by anyone -- Republican, Independent, Democrat or anyone else -- to run or not to run and to do what he thought best.
Disclosure: I maxed out in contributions to him last summer just to give him some gas money to travel through Senate District 4 so he wouldn't have to pay out of his own pocket.
Senator Mike Williams remains the same Mike Williams he's always been. He put his own personal best interests to the side and offered himself once more as a candidate for Senate District 4 which consists of Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, and Union counties.
If you want to help financially but are afraid of partisan retaliation, you can contribute without having your name disclosed.
If you make a contribution of $100 or less to a campaign, it will be reported in an aggregate of unitemized contributions.
A campaign must keep a record of a contributor's name and address in case of an audit, but it does not have to publically disclose them.

If you want to help, please send checks to:

Angelia, the only thing that keeps me from being hissingly jealous of your ability to reason and to write is that i am old enough to be your mother. Actually, i am old enough to be your grandmother in some states.

i won't belabor points i already have belabored, but i will say that i don't know about the other four counties in the district, but i know that my county won't vote for its senator based on what's best for Ron Ramsey's political career.

And my Nashville sources tell me Senator Williams could be a future governor, without being affiliated with either party. Wouldn't that be exciting? i wish my granddaddy, Uncle John and Cousin JB were still alive. They would LOVE this campaign.

Gee, i'm having flashbacks to when things weren't already decided before the voting booths were unpacked.
