Several years ago, I volunteered at one of the area nursing homes. There was an elderly gentleman there at the time, who would launch into these tirades about Exxon, politicians and alien aircrafts. The CNA’s on his wing would tell me, “Oh, don’t pay any attention to him. He doesn’t know what he’s saying. He’s just talking to himself.”
This article, which describes how McCain’s campaign spokeswoman Brooke Buchanan insisted to reporters after McCain babbled about Obama’s upcoming trip to Iraq: “He [McCain] doesn’t know when he’s going. He’s not privy to that information. He was speaking in broader terms, about when Obama does land in Iraq”… it made me think of that old man at the nursing home.
Turns out McCain was privy.
Obama landed in the Afghani capital of Kabul today. From there he will make his way to Iraq, which he last visited in 2006.
Now I’m wondering if the US government has indeed discovered an alien aircraft, which could provide revolutionary technology to convert toxic leachate into clean energy – and is, in fact, working in collsion with Exxon to keep the technology under wraps.
More on Obama’s trip here.

Thanks for the laughs! Too bad it’s so true though. People will say McCain is old and feeble but what about Obama who is young and feeble??? He’s lost his silver spoon and he’s not going to quit crying until we either find it or just give him the whitehouse!

Oh, I think this trip could be very telling. It already has been in some ways – his tendency to make a production out of something most politicians have done already sans the fanfare, his spite toward reporters who’ve has the audacity to treat him as they would any other candidate – and then his tendency to sidestep direct questions or be hustled away from important issues by his handlers.
Can he solidify his credentials w/ this trip? Maybe… or he could come back seeming as shaky as jello.
