The crazy thing about that article is after claiming he knows what people want he points out that when he talked about this subject with actual locals&quot; &quot;I was in Hawkins County, a farm community ... and the farmers need the workers, and they can’t find local people to do this work anymore&quot;.

Yes, that&#039;s right. Since cracking down on border crossings, along with not having any meaningful worker visa program, farmers CAN&#039;T find anyone to work the fields, and as a direct result of this fact - which follows from our lousy immigration policies - small family farms are continuing for fail, and food imports from Mexico and China and Vietnam and wherever else doesn&#039;t have much in the way of respected controls over what sort toxic chemicals are allowed on the food, are all on their way up.</description>
