The Rogersville Review reports on the fire at Pressmen’s Home:
According to initial reports, construction workers, renovating the building located in the sharp turn below the Hotel Pressauna’s former location, were burning a pile of scrap wood when a gust of wind spread the fire to the adjacent brush, then to the last remaining section of the Pressauna, the hotel’s veranda.
The fire rapidly swept up the mountain, threatening adjacent homes, as well as a natural gas well and gas lines.
