According to a report in the Times-News, the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office served an arrest warrant Wednesday on a Church Hill man accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old boy with a vacuum cleaner while baby-sitting in December.

On Dec. 16, the boy’s grandmother filed the complaint against Roger Lee Dugger of Church Hill, after the boy told her he’d been abused at Dugger’s residence during the course of the previous two weeks.

During her investigation, Detective Eve Jackson interviewed the boy, who said Dugger stuck a vacuum cleaner hose down the boy’s pants and touched his privates with it while it was on, and “that it hurt and made him very uncomfortable.”

[...]

“Roger said he was sorry and told (the boy) not to tell, that it would get him in trouble,” Jackson stated in her warrant. “After he touched (the boy) with the vacuum he thought, ‘My God, I’ve just done something sexual to this child.’”

Dugger was charged with aggravated sexual battery and was released from the Hawkins County Jail on $3,000 bond.

Wow, what a dumb ass. Have things always been like this or is this a new thing with people getting incredibly stupid ideas in their head and then carrying them out?
