Times News reports the Church Hill Fire Department was called to Volunteer High School Monday morning after several students complained of feeling ill due to an odor that was strong in one classroom.
… they were able to isolate the odor to one of two air conditioning units near the special education room.
Firefighters shut down the units and ran them one at a time before discovering the source. Wood said he theorizes that someone may have poured deer urine — a common lure used by hunters — into one of the air conditioning units as a prank.
