We agreed the kids could stay up past their bedtime to watch the lunar eclipse.
At about 8:45PM, we bundled up, went outside, sat in lawn chairs and waited twenty minutes for the clouds to pass so we could see the lunar eclipse for a second before more clouds obscured our view.
Smartypants decided the sight wasn’t worth seeing yet – and headed back indoors to watch television until the “total part” happened.

Meanwhile, Diva fell asleep. So, Smartypants and I went back out at 10PM – just the two of us and again waited for the clouds to pass.
“Is that it?” Mr Smartypants wanted to know.
“Yeah.”
“I can’t believe I frozed my butt off for this. It doesn’t even look scientifical.”
