CHURCH HILL – WMCH 1260AM – The Voice held a celebration honoring local Christian broadcasters on the evening of January 22 at the Ryan’s Steakhouse in Kingsport.
Dr. Kenneth C. Hill, President of WMCH Radio, Inc. stated: “Tonight we recognize Christian broadcasters who have taught or preached on WMCH for as long as 40 or more years. The total years of broadcasting commemorated tonight totals more than 400 years.”
WMCH 1260AM also honored members of the staff that have more than 30 years service including the Station Manager, Randall Seaver; Music Director Shane Ferrell; Chief Engineer Darrell Smith; and Director of Information Technology, Ron Gordon. Office Manager Bettye Russell received special recognition for her service at WMCH since its founding in 1954. Also recognized were the weekend operators including Karen Looney,and Andrew Clark.
