The date for Heritage Days festival has been set. The entertainment schedule released and events & exhibits planned. (Check pages for links to featured entertainers/performers.) I was thrilled to learn the festival will be held during a weekend when I am scheduled to be home.
You know I hate to miss anything featuring food on a stick and music in the street. Plus, the festival makes inviting the out-of-town kinfolk easier. Saying, “Hey, ya’ll come visit on the weekend of Oct 12-14, and we’ll go check out Heritage Days where they have entertainment and food,” simply has a higher level of interestingness than “Ya’ll come visit this weekend! I’ll feed you Vienna sausages, entertain you with my kazoo, then we’ll sit on the front porch and see who can get the most mosquito bites! Woo-wee, a good time will be had by all!”
